Discovering a photovoltaic installation

Pictures of a completed photovoltaic installation project, carried out by diego Luxembourg for the electrical part and commissioning.

How does a photovoltaic installation work?
In residential or commercial buildings, solar panels are usually located on the roof of a house, garage or building. Each installation has a certain inclination and orientation related to the characteristics of the roof.

The panels, through their photovoltaic cells, convert solar radiation into direct current electricity. The direct current of the electricity produced then passes through an inverter which converts it into alternating current

This makes it possible to use your own clean energy for your domestic installation.

Key figures
For this homeowner in Schuttrange, 32 full black 420-watt panels were installed in 4 days by our partner roofer, with connection and commissioning carried out by our electricians.

The system's power is thus 13.44 kWp (kilowatt-peak) with Enphase micro-inverters allowing real-time monitoring of each panel individually.

Only 5 months elapsed between the signing of the order and the commissioning of the installation.

On this project, we also assisted our client with their administrative procedures:
- Building permit from the municipality
- Connection authorisation from the network operator
- Electricity buyback contract from the energy supplier
- Application file for state (62.5% in December 2023) and municipal (30% in Schuttrange in December 2023) subsidies

Based on the preliminary technical visit (homecheck) and the study of the exact consumption profile of this household, our diego.sunity experts were able to establish an exhaustive simulation of their photovoltaic project over 25 years: annual forecast production, electricity production cost and return on investment.
